Syedna Ismail Badruddin Bin Molai Raj Saheb thirty fourth Dai-al-mutlaq of dawoodi bohra



Syedna Ismail Badruddin Bin Molai Raj Saheb  (Arabic: اسماعيل بدر الدين‎) (died: 23 Jumadil akhir 1085 AH /1676 AD), Jamnagar, India) was the 34 th Da'i al-Mutlaq (Absolute Missionary) of the Dawoodi Bohra sect of Musta‘lī Islam. He succeeded, the 33 rd Dai Syedna Feerkhan Shujauddin Bin Ahmedji, to the religious post.

Syedna Ismail Badruddin became Da'i al-Mutlaq in 1065 AH [2]/ 1657AD. His period of Dawat was from 1065 -1085 AH ( 1657-1676 AD). In his period Dawat office shifted from Ahmedabad to Jamnagar.
Syedna Ismail Badruddin was born in 990H during the era of 26th Dai Syedna Dawood bin Ajabsha Burhanuddin, He descendent from the revered Bharmal progeny was rightfully predicted to succeed as Dai by his learned grandfather Maulaya Adam. Syedna Ismail being the fifth son of Mulla Raj was presented to Syedna Dawood for religious cause and was admitted in Al Jamea-tus-Saifiyah under the beneficial upbringing of the Dai. Syedna Ismail also served as the Wali of Jamnagar for forty years under various earlier Dais. Thaal (sitting whole family member's relative, friends or any other eight person together for lunck/dinner) was the azeem nehmat introduced by Syedna Ismail Badruddin Bin Molai Raj Saheb according to the sunnah. .
