Syedi Abdul Qadir Hakimuddin bin Bawa Mulla Khan Mazoon of dawoodi bohra

Dargah-e-Hakimi

Saiyedi Abdul Qadir Hakimuddin (1665-1730 AD) is the holy dawoodi bohra saint who is buried in Burhanpur, India. His grave is visited by pilgrims from all over the world. The tomb complex 'Dargah-e-Hakimi' includes mosques, gardens, and international class accommodation facilities for visitors.
He was born in the period of 34 th Dai Syedna Badruddin Bin Mulla Raj on 14th of Jamadil Awwal 1077 AH(1665 AD).

His father Saiyedi Bawa Mulla Khan visited the court of 35 th Dai Syedna Abdul Taiyeb Zakiuddin in Ahmedabad and presented Saiyedi Abdul Qadir Hakimuddin in ‘Khumus’( one fifth of earning to be presented in the name of god as Mulla Khan was having five son) on the Dai's request.
He was presented the status of ‘Haddiyat(sheikh)’ by 36th Dai Syedna Kalimuddin . He was made Mukasir Al Dawat by Syedna Noor Mohammed Nooruddin (R.A) and further elevated to the status of Mawazeen(Associate) Al Dawat by 38 th Dai Syedna Ismail Badruddin.
He was man of literature and composed treasures of the Books of Dawat including "Bulohar" and "Buzazaf".

The 17th-century saint was known for his piety, humility and extreme eruditeness. A Hafiz-e-Koran (he could recite the entire Koran from memory)since childhood, his recitation of the Koran could mesmerise any living being. Legend has it that one day while travelling through a forest, he was reciting the Koran when a tiger walked by. The animal sat before the scholar, and quietly walked away once the recitation was over. When Syedi Hakimudin died in 1730 AD (1142AH,5th Shawwal), his enemies exhumed his body on some pretext after 22 days, but found to their shock a fresh and fragrant body. Over the years, people's faith grew in Syedi Hakimuddin's miraculous powers. The word hakim denotes a healer and thousands of Bohras flock to his shrine, taking a mannat (wow) for shifa (cure) from disease and seeking restoration of the health of both the body and the soul. As in Ajmer, it is said that whoever comes here with a prayer on her/his lips, does not go away disappointed. Those who have their prayers answered, their sick loved ones cured, their sinking businesses nursed back to health, and their other problems solved, come back with a generous offering.

Spread over an area of 125 acre, the Dargah-e-Hakimi complex looks more like a five-star resort than a place of religious significance. The only difference is that you get to enjoy the lush green lawns, the well laid out gardens, immaculate service and delicious, mouth watering food, for a pittance, compared to five star rates. Thousands of people are served non-vegetarian food, complete with dessert, tender mutton and basmati rice, with fruit at times.

Dawoodi Bohra 52nd Dai Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin and all other Dai starting from 39th Dai are from his Family. Family tree linking Syedna Burhanuddin to Syedi Hakimuddin is shown down below.

Syedna Ismail Badruddin Bin Molai Raj Saheb  (Arabic: اسماعيل بدر الدين‎) (died: 23 Jumadil akhir 1085 AH /1676 AD), Jamnagar, India) was the 34 th Da'i al-Mutlaq (Absolute Missionary) of the Dawoodi Bohra sect of Musta‘lī Islam. He succeeded, the 33 rd Dai Syedna Feerkhan Shujauddin Bin Ahmedji, to the religious post.

Syedna Ismail Badruddin became Da'i al-Mutlaq in 1065 AH [2]/ 1657AD. His period of Dawat was from 1065 -1085 AH ( 1657-1676 AD). In his period Dawat office shifted from Ahmedabad to Jamnagar.
Syedna Ismail Badruddin was born in 990H during the era of 26th Dai Syedna Dawood bin Ajabsha Burhanuddin, He descendent from the revered Bharmal progeny was rightfully predicted to succeed as Dai by his learned grandfather Maulaya Adam. Syedna Ismail being the fifth son of Mulla Raj was presented to Syedna Dawood for religious cause and was admitted in Al Jamea-tus-Saifiyah under the beneficial upbringing of the Dai. Syedna Ismail also served as the Wali of Jamnagar for forty years under various earlier Dais. Syedna Feerkhan Shujauddin Bin Ahmedji thirty third Dai-al-mutlaq of dawoodi bohra

Syedna Feerkhan Shujauddin (died 9 Zilkad 1065 AH /1657 AD), Ahmedabad, India) was the 33 rd Da'i al-Mutlaq (Absolute Missionary) of the Dawoodi Bohra sect of Musta‘lī Islam.

Syedna Feerkhan Shujauddin succeeded, the 32 nd Dai Syedna Qutubuddin Shaheed, to the religious post. He became Da'i al-Mutlaq in 1056 AH [2] (1648AD) and his period of Dawat was from 1056 -1065 AH ( 1648-1657 AD).

Syedna Feerkhan Shujauddin and Dawoodi Bohra had endured great hardships and were prevented from following the Fatimid 'shariat'(followings) and were forced to wear ivory and shave off their beards. Nevertheless, with the tireless efforts of Dai, Dawoodi Bohra remained steadfast on the 'shariat'. Syedna Feerkhan Shujauddin bestowed 'nas' upon 34 th Dai Syedna Ismail Badruddin bin Maulai Raj, who had then shifted office of Dawat to Jamnagar.

The Dawoodi Bohra Dais are appointed one after other in the philosophy /Faith of “nass’ as done by earlier Imams. Fatemid/Bohra believe that the god representative will be always there on earth as his Imam and can not die before appointing his true successor.

This fact got further strength in the period of Syedna Feer Khan, who was prisoned by moughal ruler in India and kept in the horses stable area. Fire broke in the area, the complete surrounding area was burnt but the Dai was intact, fire could not reach his place of stay a 'raoti'(tent). This has impressed the ruler so much that he has released the Dai and shifted to Ahmedabad with full honour. This also show that he was true representative of Imamat and god saved him.
